A man has been shot dead and another man injured in a shooting at Silver Sands, Christ Church.
This is the second fatal shooting for the day.
A 24-year-old man was shot dead and several other passengers in a car injured at Black Rock, St. Michael in the early hours of this morning.
Reports indicate this latest shooting was a drive-by.
It occurred near a stand pipe in the area of the Silver Sands playing field.
Starcom Network News has confirmed that one man was killed and another was shot in the stomach.
The deceased is a 20 year old male from, St. Christopher Christ Church.
The shooting happened sometime after 6pm
This is homicide number 20 in Barbados for the year so far and is one of several fatal shootings that have occurred over the past few weeks in a worrying resurgence of gun violence.
