Barbados has recorded yet another shooting death, homicide number 17 for this year.

The police say a 20 year old St. Michael man has been shot dead at Belleplaine, St. Andrew.

The incident was reported to the police
operations control room at about 11:45 last night.

The body of the man was subsequently discovered on a pasture located at Belleplaine with gunshot injuries to the upper body.

Residents had reported hearing gunfire in the area.

The deceased has been identified by family members as Seth Batson of Layne’s Road, Brittons Hill, St. Michael.
