Veteran Barbadian musician and vocalist Ricky Aimey has passed away.

Mr. Aimey, who was a renowned bass player, passed away yesterday, Monday.

One of his signature covers was “Reasons” by Earth Wind and Fire.

Close friend and bandmate for over 40 years, Ian Alleyne, said he was lost for words at the passing of such a talented musician.

Meantime musician and head of the music department at the Barbados Community College, Roger Gittens, says Mr. Aimey will be missed within the industry but his contributions will live on.
