The Barbados Association of Masqueraders is concerned over what it says is a lack of sponsorship by the private sector for Grand Kadooment bands.
President of the association, Jason Thompson, says they have seen a steady decline over the last three to five years, and have received little to no support so far this year.
Mr. Thompson says they may be forced to pass on the full cost of the experience to revelers.
He urges those companies that sponsor bands or events to spread that sponsorship around so that more people benefit.
