Residents in northern districts of St. Michael, as well as parishes in the north of the island, have been put on alert for what Barbados Meteorological Services has described as funnel cloud activity in those areas.
A funnel cloud is a cone-shaped cloud that extends from the base of a cloud towards the ground without actually reaching the surface.
Director of Barbados Meteorological Services Sabu Best says there is no confirmation of the cloud making contact with the ground but urges residents to remain vigilant.
