Days after the National Insurance Scheme officially transitioned to a statutory corporation the National Union of Public Workers is calling for details on the plan to merge a number of social services agencies, and especially about how the more than 300 staff members will be affected.
NUPW General Secretary, Richard Greene, sees significant implications in the plan to merge three statutory boards and a government department.
Mr. Greene suggests that the recent process for how NIS transition was handled be used as the template for this merger.
He lists the issues to be clarified.
