The port worker who was killed this morning in a container accident has been identified as 64 year old Jeffrey Broome of Upper Goodland, St. Michael.
Police Public Affairs and Communications Officer, Inspector Rodney Inniss, says the police received the report at about 5 50 AM.
Head of Communications and Information at the Barbados Workers Union, Cheyne Jones was also at the scene where he spoke to the family and co-workers of the deceased.
A work colleague of Mr. Broome stated that he was due to retire next year.
