Murder Accused Escapes Dodds Prison

A murder accused has escaped from Dodds Prison in St. Philip.

The report was made to the police about 3:42 PM.

The prisoner has been identified as Tyreke Benksin whose previous address was Promenade Road, Bush Hall, St. Michael.

Starcom Network’s News checks revealed that a Tyreke Benskin of Promenade Road, Bush Hall, then 17 years old, appeared in court in February of 2020 accused of taking the life of a 22 year old man of the same address.

Benskin was remanded to Dodds Prison.

The escaped prisoner is described as 5 feet, ten inches tall and of slim build with plaited hair.

At the time of his escape he was barebacked and wearing blue shorts pants.

He had been pursued by two prison officers but they lost sight of him.
