A 71 year old man from St. John is dead following a road traffic collision at Lodge Road, Christ Church yesterday.
The man has been identified as Clyde Squires of Cliff Cottage, St. John.
Residents at Lodge Road Christ Church were left in shock after Mr. Squires was struck and killed by a car while crossing the road yesterday afternoon.
According to residents in the area the pedestrian was struck by a car that was traveling along Lodge road going south.
One lady who lives in the area told Starcom Network News that they are concerned about the number of vehicles that drive fast while traveling on that road.
Another resident called for a pedestrian crossing.
This is the eleventh road fatality for the year.
