The Barbados Union of Teachers wants a number of concerns addressed by the time schools reopen next month, especially to do with health and safety.

BUT President Rudy Lovell made reference to the alleged assault of a female student at a secondary school last term as he emphasized the need to improve security at schools.

He wants to see a thorough security assessment conducted.
