The Ministry of Health is hiring private contractors to carry out an industrial cleaning of the Maurice Byer Clinic in St. Peter as nurses there remain off the job over environmental conditions at the facility.
Acting Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Arthur Phillips, tells Starcom Network News that the clinic’s administrators met with the staff who indicated their concerns and a cleaning commenced.
But following today’s events it has been decided that private contractors will be brought in to carry out a fuller industrial cleaning
It has also been agreed that senior officials of the ministry of health will meet with the Staff of the Maurice Byer Clinic next week to hear their concerns and chart a path forward.
