The National Council on Substance Abuse is concerned that use of psycho-active drugs is increasing in Barbados, including by school children.
This concern was highlighted by Research and Information Officer with the NCSA, Dr. Jonathan Yearwood, while speaking to the media during a drug awareness seminar for the ancillary staff of local secondary schools.
Dr. Yearwood explained that while marijuana and alcohol use remains most prominent, the use of these other drugs is also cause for worry.
