Some L.T. Gay Classes Being Relocated

Some of the teachers and students at the Lawrence T Gay Primary School are being relocated and the school closed for the first two days of this week as environmental issues persist there.

President of the Barbados Union of Teachers, Rudy Lovell, tells Starcom Network News the relocation and temporary closure is the result of a strong smell that has sickened both students and teachers – a long running issue.

The relocation involves a section of the school that includes the reception classes, the youngest students at the Spooners Hill, St. Michael premises.

He hopes for a solution to the decade-old problem at the school.
