Barbados has recorded three homicides in one day, the latest being a drive-by shooting around 7 pm.

The police say that at 7 12 pm a report came to the Police Operations Control Room stating that a number of men were liming in the area of 2nd Avenue Beckles Hill, St. Michael when a car entered the area and an occupant started shooting.

Two men were injured and transported to the Queen Elizabeth Hospita for medical attention.

One of the men died while receiving medical treatment.
He was identified as 28 year old Miguel Bryan of Beckles Hill.

The police were already investigating two other homicides.

The body of a man was found at Welches, Christ Church with what appeared to be chop wounds.

The deceased was identified as 28 year old Devitus Chase of Cane Vale New Road,Christ Church.

Meantime, the body of 33 year old Matthew Benn of Silver Hill Christ Church was found this morning at Charnocks, Christ Church.

The body had what appeared to be gunshot injuries.

The police say that around 11:05 this morning they received a report of a motionless body in a bushy area at Factory Road.

Officers who arrived at the scene found the body lying along a track.
