The new UK Prime Minister Liz Truss has named her new cabinet and for the first time, not a single white man will occupy any of the top jobs.
Kwasi Kwarteng has been named chancellor while James Cleverly is foreign secretary – both are black.
Suella Braverman is the home secretary, Therese Coffey is the new health secretary and deputy PM.
Prominent backers of Truss’s leadership rival Rishi Sunak are out of a job, including Dominic Raab and Grant Shapps.
Delivering her first speech as Prime Minister, Ms. Truss promised to, in her words, rebuild the UK economy. She also paid tribute to Boris Johnson, the man she succeeds.
