It was a bloody period overnight in Barbados as Police responded to homicide, and two separate shootings. Just after 9:30 PM, a man was killed in an altercation with another man at Gills Road in the City.
The police say two men were involved in a dispute during which one suffered injuries. He died at the scene.
The deceased has been identified as Orlando Maughan of Valerie, St. Michael.
Meantime, at about 6:45 PM gunmen opened fire on two men at 4th Ave, Goodland, St. Michael. The police say they received a report that three men came from the area of a track leading from Goodland main road onto 4th Ave, Goodland and fired a number of shots at two men who were standing in the road. One of the men was hit in both legs and he was taken away from the scene in a private motor vehicle for medical attention.
And around half past midnight shots were fired at a man at 2nd Avenue, Goodland, St. Michael. He was hit in the lower body and taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital for treatment.
