A well known local social media influencer and an acquaintance have been charged for drug running and money laundering.

Police officers from the Suppressing Criminal Activity Targeting Society Unit and the Financial Crimes Investigation Unit have arrested and formally charged 30 year old Milisa Browne, known on Instagram as “Dubaii Mili”,  and 31 year old Andre Leacock, known on social media as Shotta Fly with possession, trafficking and intent to supply marijuana, as well as money laundering in the sum of $79,514.05 BDS and  $14,997.00 USD as well as unlawful retention of foreign currency in relation to the US cash.

A release from the police service says that the Suppressing Criminal Activity Targeting Society Unit executed a search warrant at a residence at Callenders Crescent, Christ Church, which resulted in a large quantity of marijuana along with the cash being discovered.  Both accused were arrested and taken into custody.

Both accused appeared today at the District “B” Oistins Court before Magistrate Deidre McKenna where they were not required to plead to the offences which are all indictable.

They were both granted 50 thousand dollars bail and are required to report to Oistins every Wednesday before 12 noon and are scheduled to reappear at the same court on the 14th of June.
