Minister of Information and Public Affairs, Wilfred Abrahams, has dismissed rumors that a government MP was on life support or may even have died after contracting covid-19.
Mr. Abrahams expressed concern over what he said were the rumors that were swirling with one purporting to confirm the death of a public figure in circumstances where there was no basis for it.
Mr. Abrahams stated that he can confirm that there is no government MP who has passed or is on life support.
He denounced what he referred to as these unfounded and malicious rumors.
It was confirmed, however, that two government MPs are recovering after testing positive for covid-19, but none is on life support.
