Bishop Joseph Atherley will not be defending his St. Michael West seat and will instead be seeking to unseat Arthur Holder in St. Michael Central, switching constituencies.
In a surprising development just ahead of nomination day, Bishop Atherley informed Starcom Network News that when nominations open tomorrow for the January 19th general elections, instead of registering his candidacy at the St. Leonard’s School for St. Michael West he will be at the Combermere School being nominated in a bid to unseat the incumbent Arthur Holder.
He promised to say more on the matter at the nomination.
Bishop Atherley’s People’s Party for Development recently announced a merger with the United Progressive Party to form a new political alliance.
