Barbados’ covid-19 positivity rate shows a significant dip in the latest ministry of health report, falling to 8.7 percent in the test results from yesterday.

This is the lowest positivity rate in several weeks and is in line with reports by health officials that the positivity rate has been trending downwards.

The latest covid-19 update states that 106 people were identified as covid-19 positive from the one thousand, 218 tests conducted by the Best-dos Santos Public Health Laboratory yesterday.

This is the first time in weeks that that the positivity rate, has dipped below ten percent.

It approached 18 percent at the height of the recent surge.
