Covid concerns have forced the postponement of the annual conference of the ruling Barbados Labour Party which was scheduled for this weekend.
Party sources confirmed the postponement noting that Prime Minister Mottley had made mention of the development during the meeting of the BLP St. Phillip West branch two Sundays ago.
The surge in covid-19 cases in Barbados was given as the reason for the postponement.
All BLP officer holders have been nominated unopposed with Miss Mottley remaining as Chairman.
A new date for the BLP conference is yet to be set.
