Barbados hoteliers report a significant number of cancellations and revenue loss over the past two weeks due to the surge in covid-19 cases in Barbados.
This has been confirmed by Chairman of the Barbados Hotel and Tourism Association, Geoffrey Roach, speaking this morning on the BHTA program on Voice of Barbados.
He saysthe significant rise in covid-19 cases here along with fallout from the resulting US level four travel advisory is a setback for Barbados’ tourism recovery.
He notes this has implications for jobs.
The BHTA Chairman stresses the importance of Barbados increasing the vaccination rate.
