The police are investigating a report of two people allegedly being robbed at gunpoint today, after apparently going to a location to purchase a vehicle that had been advertised on one of the Facebook market pages.
Starcom Network News understands that the alleged victims have made a report to the police over the incident that is said to have occurred at Brighton Terrace, St. Michael.
A message was being circulated on social media today warning people to be careful buying vehicles via Facebook, following the incident.
The message alleged that the potential buyers seem to have been set up to be robbed.
It’s understood that this may be just one of a several incidents were people were robbed after seeking to meet people to purchase items advertised via social media.
