Three people have been shot in two separate incidents, one of them involving the police. One incident occurred last night and the other in the early hours of this morning.
Starcom Network News understands that police confronted an armed man at Big Red Bar at Green’s, St. George around 11 pm. The suspect, 23-year-old Atsu Jones of Ealing Grove, Christ Church, was reported to have been armed with a gun and police approached the suspect and ordered him to drop the weapon. When he failed to do so and reportedly pointed the weapon at officers he was shot in the and hip and taken to hospital by ambulance.
Meantime, a man and woman were shot in an incident at Flash Zone Bar, Black Rock, St. Michael, just before 4 am.
The man was shot in the abdomen and transported to the hospital by a private vehicle while the woman was hit in the leg and taken to hospital by ambulance
