Taxi operators being hounded by creditors

Taxi operators complain that the fall-out from the COVID-19 pandemic continues to have a devastating impact on that sector, with many operators having little or no work for about six months now.

President of the Bridgetown Taxi Co-op Limited, Adrian Bailey, tells Starcom Network News that not only are the taxi operators being hounded by creditors but are also fearful of arrest by court marshalls as many are struggling to keep up with child maintenance payments.

He believes there needs to a further financial helping hand for the sector and for the courts to be understanding about their predicament.
