NUPW: BRA workers victimized for environmental complaints

The  National Union of Public Workers (NUPW) claims employees of the Barbados Revenue Authority working in the treasury building are being victimized for complaining about the environmental conditions there and says it won’t stand for it.

Acting NUPW Deputy General Secretary, Wayne Walrond, is accusing management of the BRA of deliberately transferring workers who have been vocal about the conditions in the building and its impact on their health.

He says, the union has been agitating for the relocation of the workers for the past two years.

Mr. Walrond says the NUPW wants all BRA employees in the treasury building relocated as a matter of urgency.
