The partially decomposed body of a man has been found at the bottom of a cliff in St. Phillip.

The police say they received a call about 10:10 am about a body being spotted and on responding discovered the body in the sea at the bottom of a cliff off Fortescue in an area called Elbow Bay, also known to locals as My Lady Hole.

The body was retrieved by the coast guard and the police marine unit and transported to the Consett Bay Jetty in St. John.

The police say that state of decomposition of the body no identification has yet been made.
