Over the last week, Newsmakers spent time on the ground in Caracas, Venezuela at the invitation of the Embassy here in Barbados to get a better understanding of what is happening there, given not just rising tensions with the United States but the overall perception of the country.
It also provided the opportunity for several delegates from across Caricom to attend the 2nd annual People’s Assembly calling for Peace in the Caribbean and Latin America.
In this edition, we hear from Rev. Onkphra Wells, a senior official within the Barbados Task Force on Reparations and we also spoke to Deputy Political Leader of Trinidad’s Movement for Social Justice, Radhaka Gulbance.
