Barbados’ tourism sector continues to record strong performance, with Chairman of the Barbados Hotel and Tourism Association, Javon Griffith, reporting a 5.4 per cent increase in visitor arrivals for the period January to October this year.
He noted that the United States remains the main driver of this growth.
Mr. Griffith announced during the BHTA’s fourth-quarter annual meeting, held this morning at Sandals Royal.
While cruise calls declined over the period, Mr. Griffith noted a significant increase in passenger arrivals in the cruise sector.
Mr. Griffith also emphasised that airlift to the island has expand in 2025, strengthening Barbados’ access to key source markets.
