Deputy Chief Education Officer urges vendors and canteen operators to prioritize healthy options for children

Deputy Chief Education Officer, Julia Beckles is calling on canteen operators and vendors around school compounds to make healthier food choices more available to students.

Speaking this morning during the Barbados School Nutrition Policy Health and Safety Teacher’s Capacity Training Workshop, Ms. Beckles said she is pleased by the progress being made but stressed that these gains can only continue if all stakeholders remain committed.
