Barbados hosted the Caribbean Motor Racing Festival over the weekend, the first of its kind on the island, which Sports Tourism Consultant in the Ministry of Sports, Stevon Roberts, said could position Barbados as a regional motorsports hub.

Speaking to Starcom Network News yesterday on the Belle stretch of the ABC Highway where the festival was hosted, Mr. Roberts stated the event has the potential to significantly boost sports tourism and generate economic activity on the island.
