The Mia Mottley administration has delivered a strong midyear economic review, reporting a significant budget surplus supported by resilient revenue performance between April and September this year.
In a Ministerial Statement in Parliament this morning, Minister in the Ministry of Finance Ryan Straughn revealed that robust collections of corporation tax and value added tax were the primary drivers of the surplus.
He emphasized that Barbados’ economy continues to expand, even as global economic conditions remain challenging.
