Chairman and Founder of the SAVE Foundation, Liesel Daisley, is calling for stronger family support and guidance within households to help curb the growing problem of domestic violence in Barbados.
Police data shows that domestic violence cases continue to rise, with the Attorney General noting that more young people are turning to crime, possibly after being exposed to violence at home.
Ms. Daisley says a return to core family values could make a difference.
She added that from observation, the trend in domestic violence cases remains on par with last year, although incidents usually increase during the Christmas season.
