Minister of Labour urges NGO’s and the public and private sectors to collaborate to address NCD crisis

Minister of Labour, Social Security and the Third Sector, Colin Jordan, says honesty and collaboration across all sectors are essential in tackling the region’s worsening non-comm-unicable disease (NCD) crisis.

He was speaking this morning during day two of a three-day regional workshop hosted by the Healthy Caribbean Coalition in partnership with PAHO, focusing on the commercial determinants of NCDs in Caribbean states.

Mr. Jordan stressed that while governments have a significant role to play, the challenge cannot be addressed by the public sector alone.
