BCC – NUPW Dispute Heads to Labour Department

The standoff between the Barbados Community College and the National Union of Public Workers is now headed to the Labour Department for intervention.

The dispute stems from BCC’s decision to fill a vacant post, which triggered protest action by unionized staff on September 30th and subsequent failed negotiations with management.

NUPW General Secretary Richard Greene confirms the union has asked the Chief Labour Officer to treat the matter as urgent, in hopes of reaching a resolution.
