The Barbados Police Service is assuring the public that it’s fully prepared to secure this year’s Crop Over festival climax.
Speaking during a news conference this afternoon at the Police Headquarters, Commissioner of Police, Richard Boyce outlined the security strategy for the final week of the festival, noting that the service is in a heightened state of readiness.
He stressed that the police service is responding directly to public concerns particularly about gun violence, robberies.
Commissioner Boyce also made it clear that reckless and disruptive conduct will not be tolerated.
He warned that officers will be out in full force to identify and act swiftly against any breaches of the law.
