Roshanna Trim Sworn In as Barbados’ Newest Government Senator

Roshanna Trim has been officially sworn in as the newest government senator.

The 30-year-old, who began her involvement in politics at just 14, has held roles in the Youth Parliament, the Pink Parliament, and various youth development councils and community organisations.

She was sworn in the presence of Prime Minister Mia Mottley, family and other government officials.

Speaking at the State House following the ceremony, Senator Trim stated that her focus will remain on youth advocacy and development.

Prime Minister Mia Mottley offered words of advice, noting that she looks forward to Ms. Trim’s contributions to the Senate.
