Family Devastated as Rashawn Brathwaite Gunned Down While Mourning Brother

The family of 27-year-old Rashawn Brathwaite is reeling from unimaginable grief after he was fatally shot last night while attending the viewing of his brother’s body.

Brathwaite, a resident of Valley Land, St. George, was gunned down around 6:40 p.m. on Civilian Road, Bush Hall, St. Michael—just outside a funeral home. He had gone to pay his respects ahead of his brother’s burial, scheduled for this evening.

One relative, speaking to Starcom Network News, described the compounded tragedy as heartbreaking, saying the back-to-back losses have left the family shattered. She recalled the harrowing moment of the shooting:

The grieving family is now calling for justice and closure, urging authorities to bring those responsible to account.
