At least 20 people sustained minor injuries following a collision between a minibus and a service utility vehicle that triggered a mass casualty response at Foursquare, St. Philip, earlier this morning.
Emergency services responded swiftly, with three ambulances, two fire tenders, the Barbados Defence Force, and the roving emergency team all dispatched to the scene.
Four people were taken to the Accident & Emergency Department of the Queen Elizabeth Hospital and four to the Winston Scott Polyclinic.
Twelve were treated at the scene, while others opted for private medical care.
Minibus conductor, Roger Greenidge told Starcom Network News that the impact was indeed sudden.
