Man killed in Haynesville shooting incident/Eden Lodge victim critical

A 25-year-old man who was shot in the head in Haynesville, St. James, last night has succumbed to his injuries, becoming Barbados’ 21st homicide victim for 2025.

Terrelle Rogers of Haynesville, St. James has been identified as the victim.

Investigations revealed that the deceased was in the area liming when a series of gun shots were discharged, resulting in injuries to him. Rogers fell to the ground and was taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in a private motorcar, where he subsequently succumbed to his injuries.

Investigations are continuing into the matter. Police are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed this incident or have any information that may assist us to please contact the Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1800-8477, Police Emergency at 211 or the Holetown Police Station at 419-1700 or 419-1707.

This incident came just an hour after an earlier shooting at Eden Lodge around 8:30 p.m., where a 19-year-old male, who is a well known cricketer, was critically injured and is currently in the Intensive Care Unit at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital.
