Two teenagers on remand for the murder of Shawnathon Chase

One day after he was buried, two teenagers have been charged for the murder of 13-year-old Shawnathon Chase.

Kyirico Donte Darrell Clarke age 18 and Daquan Joshua Nurse, 16, both of Briar Hall Gardens, Christ Church appeared before Magistrate Deidre Mckenna in the Oistins Court where they were not required to plead to the indictable offences.

In addition to murder, the teenagers have been charged with endangering the lives of Joel Bourne, Jamarie Bourne and Jakeil Callender by use of a firearm to cause serious bodily harm.

Clarke who is represented by attorney at law, King’s Counsel Michael Lashley, and Nurse have been remanded to Dodds Prison until May 15th.

Security was heightened at the Court as the teenagers’ parents and family were in Court, and also several onlookers who gathered for a view of the two accused.
