The body of a naked man was pulled from Paradise Beach, south of Batts Rock, on Tuesday, April 8, 2025, as Police continue to investigate a possible suicide by drowning.
It was around 2 PM that the Black Rock Station received several calls of a naked man holding a scroll in his hand and making declarations on the edge of the shore.
Sergeant Bailey arrived with at least three other officers who turned up with blankets and tried to lure the man off the shore, but instead he ran backwards into the water before drowning.
A lifeguard and a private vessel with two men tried to save him, but when he was pulled from the water, there was no sign of life.
The man’s identity is yet to be revealed, but Starcom Network has learnt that the deceased was not of sound mind.
