Managing Director of B’s Recycling, Paul Bynoe, is calling on the government to make good on a promise to relocate the operation from Cane Garden to state-owned land at Vaucluse, St. Thomas.
Mr. Bynoe, who runs this country’s largest recycling operation, tells Starcom Network News, the proposal was put to him about five months ago during a meeting with a team of government officials, including several ministers, but he’s had no further word since then.
B’s Recycling’s Cane Garden site has been plagued by a series of fires over the years resulting in persistent complaints and calls for its relocation from residents and even the MP for the area.
Mr. Bynoe is keen for government to follow through with the relocation plan.
While a government official asked about the matter would only say that a paper was being taken to cabinet, Mr. Bynoe is eager to have the plan progress.
He notes this is not the first time a government official has offered to relocate the business.
