The police have captured one man and have been on the hunt for three others who attacked and robbed a pregnant visitor and her husband yesterday.

Starcom Network News understands the visiting couple from Mexico were walking along Heywoods Road in St. Peter when a vehicle pulled up and four men got out and approached the pair of tourists.

There was then an altercation in which the husband suffered what was described as slight injury to the head.

The attackers stole the woman’s handbag which contained two cell phones and other property.

The matter was reported to the police who responded, intercepted the car along Bourbon Road in St. Lucy and started a pursuit.

The police chase ended at Diamond Corner where three of the alleged robbers escaped while one man was held and the car they were travelling in was confiscated.
