Government is setting up what Prime Minister Mia Amor Mottley calls a new grievance mechanism as she admits to major concern over service delivery to the public in a number of areas.
She’s particularly concerned about how complaints from the public are handled and some of the responses given when people seek to contact various government agencies to have issues dealt with.
Prime Minister Mottley was speaking at the St. Andrews Speaks public town hall session last evening.
Her comments followed a series of complaints from residents of the area over a range of issues including water supply, garbage collection and the bus service.
Prime Minister Mottley indicated that she too had concerns about how matters were being handled.
And, she spoke of plans for a new system for dealing with complaints.
Miss Mottley says the system should be in place in a matter of months.
