The victim in last night’s fatal shooting, the first homicide for the year, has been identified as a 33 year old St. Lucy man.
The body of Ramon Archer who resided at Crab Hill, St. Lucy was found around 7 pm lying on the ground at Fitts Village, St. James.
The police say residents in the area reported hearing several gunshots.
Archer was pronounced dead at the scene by medical personnel.
This first homicide for the year occurred just six days into 2023.
Last year Barbados recorded 43 murders, most by the gun.
