COVID spread and flu cases worry Ministry of Health

The Ministry of Health is worried about what it calls a “double whammy” of covid-19 spread and flu cases.

The situation has been outlined by Chief Medical Officer Dr. Kenneth George who noted a covid-19 positivity rate of near 20 percent but fears it could be higher due to a low testing rate.

Dr. George urges the public to exercise caution during the Christmas period but lists as a positive that the hospitalization rate has remained low though there has been a death over the past week.
