The Barbados Light & Power Company Limited announces that the interim electricity rate hike has taken effect from September 16th 2022.
Manager of Customer Care at the BL and P, Rodney Dottin explained that the company is acting in accordance with the Fair Trading Commission’s decision to approve interim rates at a cap of 50 percent of the requested rates for all customers.
He added that customers will be refunded if the FTC in its final decision adjusts the rate lower than the current approved interim rate.
