Chief Executive Officer of the Barbados Labour Party, Senator Patricia Parris, rejects the suggestion by trade unionist Caswell Franklyn that the FTC rate panel is improperly constituted.

Yesterday Mr. Franklyn argued that the set up of the panel is unconstitutional since under law the chairman should be an attorney.

But Senator Parris stresses that the law refers to the chairman of the FTC board overall and not the chairman of a rate hearing panel.
