Police have taken a man into custody in relation to the highly publicised case of a dog that appeared to drown at Pebbles Beach, St. Michael.

There has been widespread expression of outrage after video of the incident went viral.

Police said the incident which was recorded by a visitor occurred around 4pm yesterday.

The police said that a witness had filed a report on the matter and that they were seeking to identify and question the man seen in the video.

Today the service confirmed that a male is being questioned but no charges have been laid as yet.
